Liu, Wansheng Jerry
Wansheng Jerry Liu is a Partner and the Chair of China Practice Group at Fox Rothschild LLP, an 800-lawyer U.S. law firm, in its Princeton, New Jersey office. Jerry practices mainly Intellectual Property (IP) and corporate laws, including patent and trademark prosecution, IP licensing and litigation, patent opinions, review of contracts, formation of business entities including non-profits, etc. He has handled due diligence for M&A, investment, and licensing deals valued from multi-million to multi-billion dollars. Prior to law practice, Jerry had over a decade of working experience at Sinopec Yizheng Chemical Fibre Company Limited and Bristol-Myers Squibb Company. He is currently an Executive Council member of Sino-American Pharmaceutical Professionals Association (SAPA) and Co-Chair of China Committee of the New York Intellectual Property Law Association (NYIPLA).
Jerry obtained his Ph.D. degree in organic chemistry with Professor Sir Derek H.R. Barton (Nobel Prize, 1969) from Texas A&M University, J.D. degree from Rutgers University School of Law, and B.S./M.S. degrees in Chemistry/Polymer Science from University of Science and Technology of China (USTC). In law school, Jerry served as the Editor-in-Chief of Rutgers Law Record and Editorial Board members of Rutgers Business Law Journal and Rutgers Conflict Resolution Law Journal. A frequent speaker on IP laws and FDA regulations, Jerry has authored over 20 scientific and legal publications and is an inventor to four U.S. patents.
