PROXY STATEMENT
ANNUAL MEETING OF MEMBERS
February 07, 2026
This proxy statement is being furnished to the members of USTC Alumni Association in Greater New York (hereafter “USTC-AAGNY”) in connection with the solicitation by and on behalf of its board of directors (the “Board”) of proxies for use at the Annual Meeting of Members. The Annual Meeting of Members will be held on March 01, 2026 at China Institute of America. This proxy statement contains information about the matters to be considered at the meeting or any adjournments or postponements of the meeting. This notice and proxy statement is first being sent to members on or about February 7, 2026.
ABOUT THE MEETING
What is being considered at the meeting?
You will be voting on the following:
- election of four Class C directors; and
- any other matters that properly come before the meeting.
Class C directors will serve a three-year term until the 2029 Annual Meeting of Members. Current Class A and Class B directors’ terms will end at 2027 and 2028 Annual Meetings of Members, respectively.
Who is entitled to vote at the meeting?
You are eligible to vote if you have been a member of record on or before February 8, 2026 (12:00 a.m. EST). Each member is entitled to one vote.
Who is eligible to be elected to the Board of Directors?
Only members of record on or before 12 pm February 7, 2026 can be elected to the Board of Directors.
How do I vote?
You can vote in four ways:
- by attending the meeting in person and voting at the meeting;
- by authorizing someone to vote at the meeting on your behalf;
- by completing, signing and returning the paper ballot to the President before the closing of the voting process at the meeting; or
- by the Internet at https://ustcaagny.org/ballot-form-2026/
PROPOSAL – ELECTION OF DIRECTORS
The By-Laws of USTC-AAGNY provides for a Board of Directors consisting of at least 5 but no more than 15 directors. The Board now consists of 10 directors, each intending to serve on the Board until the end of their respective terms and his or her successor is duly elected and qualified. They are:
- Class A directors serving until the 2027 Annual Meeting of Members:

- Class C directors serving until the 2026 Annual Meeting of Members:

All directors serve on voluntary basis and will receive no compensation for their work for USTC-AAGNY. The Board has no reason to believe that any of the directors and nominees will be unavailable or, for nominees, if elected, will decline to serve. Further, the Board of Director of USTC-AAGNY recognizes and is grateful for the efforts and contributions of above directors in the past year.
The current term of Class C directors ends at the 2026 Annual Meeting of the Members. The Board of Directors hereby nominates the following candidates for the Class C directors serving a three-year term until the 2029 Annual Meeting of Members:

Bihui (Hilda) Ye (8308)
Dr. B. Hilda Ye is Professor of Cell Biology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, New York. Her research interests are in the areas of B cell immunology and cancers arising from the immune cells. She and her colleagues are studying how transcription regulation and cell signaling events govern lymphocyte differentiation and lymphoma development. They employ a variety of experimental systems and place a particular emphasis on mechanism-based novel therapies for these cancers. In addition to laboratory research, Dr. Ye is also very active in graduate education, research mentoring, and community science education.
Dr. Ye received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from USTC in 1988, followed by a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Kansas in 1992. Before joining the Einstein faculty in 1998, she completed her Postdoctoral training at the Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons.
Hong Ni (8703)
Dr. Hong Ni specializes in global quantitative equity trading. He has spent over twenty years building mathematical model-driven trading businesses at Morgan Stanley, Deutsche Bank, CICC, and Jump Trading. He is also the founder and managing partner of Radium Fund Advisors. Dr. Ni majored in Chemistry during his undergraduate studies at the University of Science and Technology of China. He received his Ph.D. degree in Physical Chemistry from Columbia University in 1996.
Jingjiang Peng (01SHAO)
Jingjiang Peng has more than 15 years working experience in quantitative trading on Wall Street. Currently he is Portfolio Manager at a global leading quantitative hedge fund. The fund is trading global equity, option, future, foreign exchange rates, commodities, fixed income etc. Jingjiang is in charge of running an equity portfolio on statistical arbitrage strategies, actively trading across US, Europe, China, Japan and other Asian countries, and South American countries. Before the current job, Jingjiang was Portfolio Manager at Engineers Gate. Prior to Engineers Gate, Jingjiang served as Executive Director at Morgan Stanley Electronic Trading Lab(ETL) working on global statistical arbitrage research and portfolio trading optimization.
Jingjiang Peng is a PhD candidate in the department of statistics at University of Wisconsin at Madison. He holds Master degree of Statistics from University of Wisconsin at Madison, and Master degree of Mathematical Finance from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He graduated from Special Class for Gifted Young in USTC with a BS in Mathematics.
Yuying Qian (1214)
Yuying Qian is an Executive Director and Senior Trader at SMBC, a leading Japanese megabank, where she specializes in interest rate options trading and delivers competitive solutions to institutional clients. Over the past several years, she has been recognized as the top revenue-producing trader at SMBC Global Markets.Yuying is a dedicated member of the USTC alumni community. She served as Co-President of the USTC Alumni Association of New York City from 2018 to 2022, where she organized numerous professional, social, and networking events for alumni. She continues to support the association through leadership and community engagement. Yuying earned her B.S. in Materials Science from the University of Science and Technology of China in 2016, a Master’s degree in Actuarial Science from Columbia University in 2018, and a Master’s degree in Data Science from Harvard University in 2022.
MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATION
As of the date of this Proxy Statement, the Board of Directors is not aware of any business other than that specified above to come before the meeting. But, if any other business does lawfully come before the meeting, it is the intention of the persons named in the enclosed Proxy to vote in regard thereto in accordance with their judgment.
