经中国科技大学纽约校友会积极组织，王涵校友2015年5月10日在哥伦比亚大学商学院成功举办了题为”中国经济转型与金融大时代”的报告。
王涵校友毕业于中国科技大学近代物理系（9604），目前是兴业证券研究所副所长，首席宏观经济分析师 。
在超过一个小时的报告里，王涵校友对世界宏观经济，中国经济及市场现状，中国金融市场的优势和问题等话题进行了深入的介绍。听众反应异常热烈，最后因为报告场地的时间限制转场到晚上聚餐地点继续讨论。晚餐席间王涵校友具体介绍了国内的经济，股市，及就业情况并且给年轻的校友们提出了中肯的职业建议。
